I have been in education leadership for nearly thirty years and worked in the field of teacher /administrator preparation for nearly half of that time, Most recently as Dean of the School of Education at Oakland City University.

In the recent years, I have traveled to Europe more than a dozen times, speaking at conferences for educators, consulting with school administrators, developing international student teaching opportunities, and writing curriculum for Teacher training in Hungary. In addition, I have facilitated the use of online classes as continuing education for educators at an International School in Budapest, Hungary.
Through consulting opportunities, I have offered professional services to schools and boards of educational institutions by assisting them in key operational areas.
Careful board training and board/administrator communication are vital for a school to succeed. I have assisted schools in training board members to become effective participants in the leadership of the institution. In addition I have provided faculty workshops in both private and public schools.

Assisting schools with personnel acquisition is another area of expertise. Using a skill-based targeting process, I have been able to help schools achieve the goal of getting the right person in the right position.
A strong believer in strategic planning, I am convinced that long and short-term planning protects schools from various levels of failure. I have assisted several institutions in developing and carrying out effective plans. (Strategic planning was the emphasis of my doctoral dissertation.)
Schools often need an outside observer to evaluate program and personnel quality. The expertise and experience that I have built over the years allows me to assist with voluntary "quality audits". I have served on and chaired numerous accreditation teams over the years and am able to evaluate and lead in positive change associated with these processes.
